Prepare for LONDON INVASION 2013

For you who know about BOM, guess what? BOM 2013 will be held with theme LONDON INVASION: Be United, Triumph is Yours! Well after I used "Athena Theme" at BOM 2012, now my brother, my successor continuing with London theme.

Flashback: 

BOM 2012 "Message from Athens: Dear Champions!"

I used Athena because, I used to be upgrade BOM as, the biggest annual sport event at UKP, presented by BEM UKP to the next level. I used Sea Games and Olympic Games as reference. Back to Athena, I choose Athena because first Olympic was held at Athena. I tried my best to make new standards, new systems, new rules, to bring Athena atmosphere to BOM 2013, including decoration, and mythological concept for opening and closing ceremony. Well, I guess this enough for flashback to BOM 2013.

Now and Future:

BOM 2013 "LONDON INVASION: Be United, Triumph is Yours!"

My brother is becoming my successor at this event now, and I become steering committee for this event, but guess what: this is his era now, not mine, so I'll stand back and not to take control at this event. I'll let him and his committees to lead BOM 2013. London's concept will be applied in every part of BOM 2013. Why london? don't you know that London successfully held Olympic for three times, fourth Olympic in 1908, thirteenth Olympic in 1944 (it was canceled due second world war), and last Olympic in 2012 freshly. That's why BOM 2013 put some efforts to bring London to the concept. We will see and talk about it later.

Intermezzo:

I made the logo for BOM 2013, just for fun, but they like it. So this is the official logo for BOM 2013

Meaning for this logo will be explain in another post. This logo was selected after eliminating about 3 other logos I made. I like this logo the best? hmm, not really the best, but this logo was at top list of logos that I made.

I also made some art for this event, just for fun, again. Maybe all of you familiar with this quote "KEEP CALM AND Bla bla blaa..." Adopted  from that quote I made these, call them "postcards" :

These are 3 alternative "postcards" just for display picture at BBM for committees. What do you think? I love them all but I mostly like the center and the right one. Feels so British when you look it, isn't it?
