Coca Cola has been part of popular culture for over 100
years and has been called a “Vision Brand“.
Its marketing and communication is purposeful and connects
with its audience in a way that makes it stand out from its competitors.
Its mission is not about selling products but to create
significant positive change in the world that makes the world a better place.
Coca Cola’s mission statement
· - To refresh the world
· - To inspire moments of optimism and happiness
· - To create value and make a difference
Recently they have realised that their marketing strategy
that has worked well for them for decades needed to evolve and as such they are
moving from “Creative Excellence” to “Content Excellence”
Creative excellence has always been at the heart of Coca
Cola’s advertising and they have decided that content is now the key to
marketing in the 21st century on a social web.
Content for Coca Cola is is now the “Matter” and “Substance”
of “Brand Engagement”
So what can we learn from Coca Cola’s new marketing
strategy?
Lesson 1: Create
Liquid Content
The purpose of content excellence is to create “Ideas”
so contagious that they cannot be controlled this is what is called
“liquid content”.
On a social web people can easily share ideas, videos and
photos on social networks such Facebook.
So create content that begs to be shared whether that be an
image, a video or an article.
Lesson 2: Ensure your
Content is Linked
The next part of the equation is to ensure that these ideas
create content that is innately relevant to
· - The business objectives of your company
· - The brand
· - Your customer interests
This is “Linked” content…. Content that is relevant and
connected to the companies goals and brand.
Ensure that the content communicates your message that is
congruent with your mission and values.
Lesson 3: Create
Conversations
Coca Cola has realised that the consumer creates more
stories and ideas than they do so the goal is provoke conversations and then “Act”
and “React” to those conversations 365 days of the year.
The new “Distribution Technologies” of Twitter, YouTube and
Facebook provide greater connectivity and consumer empowerment than ever
before.
Don’t just publish but interact with your audience and
tribe.
Lesson 4. Move onto
Dynamic Story Telling
On traditional media in the past, story telling was static
and a one way street. Television and newspapers shouted at you with no means of
interaction.
Coca Cola has come the realisation that to grow their
business on the social web they need to move on from “One Way Story Telling” to
“Dynamic Story Telling”
This means you need to allow the story to evolve as you
interact and converse with your customers. You need to converse with your
customers in many media formats and social networks.
Storytelling has moved on from static
and synchronous to multifaceted, engaged and spreadable.
Lesson 5: Be Brave
and Creative with Your Content Creation
Part of the new Coca Cola content strategy is applying a
70/20/10 Investment principle to creating “Liquid content“.
70% of your content should be low risk. It pays the rent and
is your bread and butter marketing (should be easy to do and only consumes 50%
of your time)
20% of your content creation should innovate off what works.
10% of your content marketing is high risk ideas that will
be tomorrows 70% or 20%…. be prepared to fail
This provides a blueprint regarding moving on from just
developing white papers, to trying some content that is more visual, courageous
and engaging in web world that has embraced multimedia and interactive content.

The 30 Second TV Ad
is no Longer King
Coca Cola has come to the conclusion that the world has
moved on from the 30 second TV ad. So has the the Old Spice brand and many
other businesses who are embracing social media as part of their marketing
strategy.
We need to move towards a genuine consumer collaboration
model that builds buzz and adopts a more iterative approach to content
creation.
Learning how to fuel the conversations, act and interact
has never been more important.
Consumers ideas, creativity and conversations have been set
free with the evolution of social networks, learning to leverage and wrangle
those conversations to increase your brand visibility is now a vital
part of your marketing.
What About You?
Do you create conversations with your marketing? How many
people are talking about your stories on Facebook?
I have a great dream last night. It because I've dreamed about LIFE. At that dream, I was talking with old man and he asked me about what life for me is. Then clearly I said Life is Love, Integrity, Friend and Family, and Empower. Then I woke up in the morning and thinking about it all day long. Finally I find the answer and I think I'm gonna use these meanings as my life guide.
L I F Eis . . .

(1) Love what you do and do what you love. This is the Love role in my life. Well, most of my life I spent it with a lot of lovely things and lovely activities. I wish this love keep continue in future and make me more mature. (2) love everyone, means love everyone around you because they can be the best support, even tough they can be nightmare too. (3) spreading love by actions to everywhere, so they all now that I'm a lovely person. For me: if you spread a little love, then you will get a little love of your own.

Integrity connotes strength and stability. It means taking
the high road by practicing the highest business ethics standards.
Demonstrating integrity in the workplace shows
completeness and soundness in your character and in your organization. It shows
that you have solid workplace behavior ethics that matter
in the real world that promote positive work ethics.

Good friends can be a loving distraction from distressing
situations and, when timed properly, can be useful for getting perspective on
difficult decisions. When you do not have to figure things out alone, in a
“vacuum,” your best path toward solution can be more complete or simply a
better one. When you have someone who you trust to share an emotional burden
with then you can benefit in decision making and in support. When you are lucky
enough to have “healthy” and caring people in your life, you can feel less
alone and reduce the anxiety of your decision making.
There are times when your family may not be the best place
to turn when you have a difficult decision to make especially when your family
may be involved in the problem/challenge/concern/issue. There are times and
certain family members that might be trustworthy or “healthy” and may not have
your interests in mind when asked to help make a difficult decision. For
example, if you are thinking about the “end of life” planning, family may have
very personal reasons to not allow you to take the best path.
I am blessed with having people in my life that can support
me and offer perspective to me when I must make difficult decisions. I am
blessed to have “healthy” people in my life that do not cloud a difficult
situation with their own emotional baggage, as is possible. I have worked hard
to connect with “healthy” people and I enjoy their friendship and, when
possible, their company as I travel through my life. I work to maintain the
important relationships because I like these people and want to be there for
them and have them be there for me, when necessarily. We are not all the type of
people who can live happily isolated in a cave of life. So, celebrate your
good, “healthy” relationships. Do the work to find and maintain these positive
relationships. If you find yourself needing support when trustworthy friends
who are unavailable, do not be too proud to reach out for “good” professional
support.
One last thing… We are never alone! We just have to become
open to developing the connections with healthy, positive consciousness and to
the source of our own souls.

Empower here means, I must give the best shock in everything I have. Empower my abilities to give the best results in everything.

It is a quiet week on the chart with very little movement in the top 10. The top three songs remain the same as last week. Lee Ha Yi’s “1,2,3,4” has an even better score than last week as it remains No. 1 for the second straight week. While “1,2,3,4” remains a clear cut No. 1 song this week, Lee Ha Yi has already released a new digital single “Scarecrow” that will sure be a hit soon. Looks like YG Entertainment is really pushing her hard to make a late run on the best new artist award this year.
Holding steady at No. 2 and 3 respectively are still Ailee’s “I Will Show You” and K.Will’s “Please Don’t…”. Even though they are quite far behind “1,2,3,4” in scoring, these are the only two songs scoring in the 800’s this week.
There is only one new song in the top 10 this week. Moving up 11 spot to No. 6 is ballad group Noel’s latest hit “Things That I Couldn’t Say.” Noel resurrected their career last year with “I Miss You”, reaching No. 3 on our chart. A year later, the group is releasing their fourth album “Time For Love.” The title track “Things That I Couldn’t Say” is a number composed by Choi Gyu Sung. It has classical real acoustic piano melodies overlaid with the sound of wind and falling leaves to match the upcoming cold weather. The song holds lyrics about breakup.
It looks like all major albums and songs have been released for the year end award purposes and most of the categories are taking shape.
1. Lee Ha Yi - 1,2,3,4
2. Ailee - I Will Show You
3. K-Will - Please, Don't...
